Voor mijn opdrachtgever de Goede Doelen Loterijen (Nationale Postcode Loterij en VriendenLoterij) te Amsterdam ben ik op zoek naar een Team Lead Data Science.

As Team Lead Data Science you will work with your team on predicting conversion probabilities for a million households. You will lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions together with your team. And every day at work, you’ll be doing your part for all the charities we support.

As Team Lead Data Science, you’ll:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data science and MLOps, and identify opportunities to apply new techniques or technologies to the team’s work.
  • Lead and manage a team of 10 data scientists by providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the team.
  • Work with other leaders, program managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn strategy into value. 
  • Evaluate potential new talent.

You’d describe yourself as follows

  • You hold a Master degree in econometrics, computer science, AI or similar with demonstrable work experience in Data Science (7+ years) and guiding team members (2+ years).
  • You have experience in building machine learning models.
  • A proactive, strategic and creative mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A critical thinker who always looks for areas of improvement.
  • Knowledge of statistics and mathematics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.

About the department:

The Postcode Lottery Group is building an International Analytics Hub to provide our lotteries with the right models, tools, tech and best practices to help realise our growth ambitions. In the hub you’ll work with the business to identify value-adding business cases for advanced statistical analytics. You’ll work on exciting and challenging BI, data and AI projects that will create real impact for the lotteries and our beneficiary organizations.
